It’s cool, it’s cloudy, it’s crisp and it’s blustry; fall is rolling right over summer. My favorite season of the year is technically right around the corner but with the high temperatures hovering just above 70 and the odd nature of this summer, I am ready to swap seasons and jump right in!
The following are covetable items that will make your fall transition easy (and help you forget about the summer that was).
- Fall Nail Polish: This fall we’re loving golds, deep eggplants and turquoise. My favorite trend, however, is matte polish, like the below from OPI. The lack of shine makes colors appear richer and adds that little special something to your fall look.

- A bright fall coats: Houndstooth and camel coats got a lot of cover on Fall 2009 runways, but there is nothing more funky and fresh than a brightly colored trench or pea coat walking down a New York street. Here are a few I found on polyvore.com, which, in addition to Polyvore, can be purchased at oldnavy.com and dorothyperkins.com.
-
Over-the-Knee-Boots: I am certainly not ready to give up my booties or shooties but I would lurrrrve to try these on for size. To avoid looking like I am working it, while I work it, I completely lust for these grey, flat, suede incarnations of the over-the-knee by Chinese Laundry.
- Stila Lip-Gloss These long wearing, brightly pigmented glosses are actually created to put people in a good mood. Chock full of antioxidants and essentials oils that are known to improve moods, you will not only look great but feel great. Get them at Sephora.
